  1. i have been learning french since senior kindergarten (i was about five years old) im 16 now and im still learning it. im in french immersion classes so more than half of my classes are french and the others are in english ( english, math, science etc)
  2. I started learning French in middle school, and I'm still learning as a high schooler. Mainly, I study, but when I really enjoy a certain subject, I kind of just put my mind to it and learning. Already knowing a second language really helps me, though.
  3. I had a tutor, i also used rosseta stone and i was a foreign exchange student in France
  4. I have been learning the french language for a few weeks now. It is not a long time but I have learned a lot. I go on magazine and newspaper websites everyday, such as: http://www.france24.com/france24Public/fr/nouvelles/france.html - france 24 (news website) http://news.google.fr/ - google news in french, you've got everything in there. There are several words I don't understand, I look the most frequent ones up on an online dictionary http://dictionary.reference.com/translate/index.html I don't stress out about understanding every single word, just as long as I understand what something is vaguely about I am good. Once I learned most of the frequent words I started to learn the more complicated ones. I am not sure whether you have the chance to do this, but it is extremely helpful in learning a language: Label everything around the house in french. The doors, chairs, books, cupboards, walls, desks etc. (Trust, french is the third language I am learning from absolutely basic other than my two "mother" languages). I pick up short books from the library from the children's section in french and read them. I am not sure whether where you live they have books in french in the library, but it doesn't matter, you can read stories online. I listen to french music and follow along with the lyrics and I watch french tv sometimes. If you do not have the chance to watch tv in french, there is always youtube. www.mtv.fr helped me understand which artists i liked. I think the most important thing in learning a language is to keep your cool. To relax and think of this as fun even. The reason so many people fail at learning languages, in my opinion, is that they are incosistent. I Make sure other than simply indulging Myself in the language, that I dedicate a part of my day specifically to it. I make sure that french is not the only thing which is occupying my mind so that I will not get fed up with it, or frustrated. I also try to keep a balance. I do not for example, try to learn french long hours each day. That is just frustrating, and it would cause me to quit. It is much harder to learn a language when you are not forced to for communication needs, because it is so easy to quit.
  5. i'm still learning it and i must tell u,it isn't very easy.
  6. At first, in high school and college. Then I started practicing it on my own, (reading stories, watching movies, meeting French speakers online).
