So, my friend got a lovely text message from a friend today. He said it was in french and he refuses to tell us what it means. ...only, neither of us know french. Anyone care to help? (I checked three online translators and none of them helped.) TEXT: Apres moi, le deluge. Anybody know what that means in english? o.O thanks in advance. (:

  1. I speak French and it says, oddly: After me, the flood.
  2. I don't really see what's lovely in this, well anyway... It literally means "After me, the Deluge" It's an expression which means that you don't care about the future.
  3. I am a French native, 23 years experience as a translator. This phrase means- I don't care whatever happens after me/in the future.
