How much money should i take to France for a 10 day break?

The good news is that my accommodation is free as I'm staying with my fiancee's parents, and therefore some of my meals will be paid for, plus I have already paid for the flights. So I only need spending money. I'm going to Carcassone, if that helps. How much do things cost roughly in France for a croissant / coffee for example, and how about visits to vineyards? No doubt the wine will be the biggest expense of our holiday! I was thinking about £300, what does everyone else think?

  1. I think you should take 700 dollars with you
  2. at least £1000, things in europe get spendy
  3. I would bring some cash. Maybe a hundred euros in ills if you think you really need it. When I go to Europe I usually try and put the majority of my travel expenses on my credit card so I don't have to worry about the cash getting stolen. Just make sure to look into any hidden fees that your bank or credit card company my put forth. :)
  4. In my town ( Marseille ) Croissant : 0,90 euro Coffee : 1,30 euro I guess its less expensive there. £300 seems really short to me.
  5. croissant and coffee is about 3 euro... coffee is about 2 euro. (these are prices for Paris) Have a great trip!!
